Description

The 7th Pan African Congress, held in Kampala in 1994, was only the second to be held on the African continent in the 100-year history of the PAC. Drawing on the issues raised at the 7th PAC, this collection features contributions from an array of Pan Africanist scholars and activists. The book defines the Movement as the millennium approaches, providing a pan-African perspective that focuses on the unity of the continent and its people. The collection reflects and expresses contemporary attitudes and feelings on the political economy of African unity, and the social, cultural and economic needs of uniting across the continent – and beyond – in a period when the prospect of recolonisaton is a material reality.
